Miyagi-ken, here I come!

Today, I finally received the JET Program placement e-mail. Much to my disappointment, I didn't get assigned to Miyazaki nor Kagoshima nor any of the Kyushu prefectures. Instead, I got placed in Miyagi prefecture. I know two families in Sendai, so I guess it's better than going to some place where I don't know anyone. I will find out the exact location hopefully in early June. From what I gather, it seems like I will be teaching in high schools.

So, my long-distance relationship will continue even after I go back to Japan, but I will have the Pacific Ocean behind me this time. In the meantime, I should get to know Miyagi better and look forward to teaching some English!
