Kanken Level 5 and Immigrant Visa
Yay, I passed Kanken Level 5!!
I missed 11 problems, which is more than I expected, but passed by getting 180 out of 200 points. A minimum of 140 points is needed to pass.
This will probably be the last Kanken test I will take. I'm glad I forced myself to study kanji during the past year because I can proudly say now that my kanji proficiency is close to that of a first-year Japanese junior high school student. Hopefully, I will continue studying new kanji little by little.
Another good news is that Ikuko got her immigrant visa approved 2 weeks ago. She will probably come to America in September. Hopefully, I will have found a job by then.
On an unrelated note, I'm looking forward to going to Lake Towada in Aomori prefecture with other ALTs this weekend. This will be the last major adventure before boarding the plane back to the States exactly one month from now.
